Terms and conditions
These terms govern your use of the Alimenta app and the service behind it. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable. Where something matters to you in practice, it is said plainly.
Who we are
Alimenta is provided by Alimenta.
You can reach us at support@alimenta.top.
What the service is
Alimenta is a tool for recording the stock, the purchases and the cash of a small shop. It records what you tell it and does arithmetic on it.
It is not accounting software, it is not a cash register certified by any authority, and it does not file anything with anyone on your behalf. Whether your records satisfy your own legal obligations is yours to determine.
Your account
An account is identified by an email address and is signed in with a one-time code sent to that address. There is no password.
Anyone who can read that mailbox can sign in as you. Keeping it secure is your responsibility.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must be acting for a business rather than as a consumer.
Businesses, shops and the people in them
A business is created by one person, who becomes its owner. The owner may invite others and decide what each of them may do.
Whoever owns the business controls the data in it. If you are invited into someone else's business, they decide what you may see and may remove your access at any time.
Data entered into a business belongs with the business, not with the individual who typed it. Leaving a business does not take its records with you.
What you may not do
Use the service to break the law, including laws about what you may sell and how you must record it.
Enter other people's personal data without a lawful basis for doing so.
Attempt to reach data belonging to a business you were not given access to, or to disrupt the service for others.
Resell or rebrand the service without our written agreement.
Your data is yours
We claim no ownership of what you record. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store it, to process it, to show it to the people you have given access, and to back it up.
You can ask for an export of your business's data at any time.
What we charge
Alimenta is free to use today. There is no subscription, no payment is taken inside the app, and no payment provider is connected to it. If a paid plan is introduced, its price, its billing period and what happens when a payment fails will be set out here before anyone is charged.
Where the app is distributed through the App Store or Google Play, any purchase made inside it is also governed by that store's own terms.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and we do not promise that it always will be. Maintenance, failures and the acts of third parties we depend on can interrupt it.
We may change how features work. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will say so before it happens if we reasonably can.
Ending it
You may stop at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. How that works, and what survives it, is on the account deletion page.
We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where an account is being used to harm the service or other users. Except where that is impossible, we will tell you why.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it is free of faults or that it fits a particular purpose of yours.
We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, or for figures you acted on that turned out to be wrong because of what was entered. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
The arithmetic is only ever as good as what is recorded. Check anything that matters against the paper it came from.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the foot of the page says when they last changed, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Moldova, and the courts of Moldova have jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.
